Gunmen open fire at father-son duo in Kralgund
Suspected militants fired on a man and his 11-year-old son at their home in north Kashmir’s Kralgund area on Friday evening. Both have recieved critical injuries in the attack.
A police officer said that suspected militants barged inside the house of Mohammad Altaf Khan and opened fire upon them. In the incident, Altaf and his minor son Waqif Altaf received bullet injuries.
Both the injured have been shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, the officer said.
Altaf is working as a Special Police Officer (SPO) with the police.
Soon after the incident, a joint team of police, SOG, army and CRPF arrived on the spot and launched searches to nab the assailants.
