Mirwaiz under house arrest ahead of Friday prayers
Srinagar: Ahead of Friday congregational prayers, authorities placed Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest at his residence in Nigeen.
Mirwaiz along with Syed Ali Geelani and Muhammad Yasin Malik have called for protests after prayers against the mysterious braid chopping incidents in the valley.
Malik was arrested early today while as Geelani is undergoing house detention since 2010.
