State Football League-2017: In Premier Division match, J&K Bank outperforms SFA

Srinagar: In the ongoing State Football League-2017, two matches were played at Synthetic Turf TRC on Tuesday, with J&K Bank beating State Football Academy (SFA) 4-0.

In the Premier-Division match, J&K Bank XI thrashed SFA team by four goals to nil. Bank Team dominated the match right from the word go and gave no chances to helpless defenders of opposite team. Bank Team opened their account in just 4th minute of the play as defender Goutam chipped a pass to forward Prem Kumar, who made no mistake to convert that into a goal. 

Danish made it 2-0 in favour of the Bank in the 12th minute of the match. In the first half SFA players tried their best to open account, but they couldn’t break the defence lines of the Bank Team. In the second half, J&K Bank team sealed the fate of the match when Daniah scored third goal for them. Prem made it 4-0 in 62nd minute of the match and ensured his team emerged victorious.  Prem Kumar was declared as the footballer of the match for his performance.

The response of the spectators for the match between the Bank and the SFA was huge with large number of fans converging to Synthetic Turf TRC venue to support their favourite teams and players.

In Super-Division match, Saffalo FC played a 1-1 draw with Young Lal Chowk FC. Momin Gul opened the account for Young Lal Chowk and they maintained the lead throughout the first half. As the second half begin, Saffalo FC players went all out to score an equaliser and they succeeded in 54th minute of the match when Niyaz netted one into the goal post. After that both the teams tried their best to score, but failed to convert the chances and half chances into scoring opportunity. When the referee blew the final whistle the score line read 1-1.
