Authorities on Tuesday snapped mobile internet services across South Kashmir in the wake of series of incidents of braid chopping, sources said.

They that police during midnight sent a communication to the cellular companies wherein it  directed them to snap 2G, 3G and 4G services in Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama districts of south Kashmir with immediate effect.

Pertinently, dozens of braid chopping incidents across Kashmir valley during past more than a week have triggered scare among the residents, especially women.

The police have formed Special Investigation Teams to probe the incidents. However, so far the police and the authorities have been clueless.
