India, Pak armies exchange fire along LoC in Poonch

India and Pakistan yet again exchanged fire on forward posts along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

“Pakistan Army this morning initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 0845 hrs in Poonch sector along the Line of Control (LC),” a defence spokesman here said.
He said that Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively while the firing is still on.
An Army jawan was killed on Tuesday as Pakistani Army violated the ceasefire agreement in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch.
Earlier on Monday, two children died and 13 civilians sustained injuries in the cross-border firing in Poonch.
