Nationwide sanitation campaign “Swachhata Hi Seva Hai”

As a part of nationwide cleanliness drive “Swachhata Hi Seva Hai”  all the Police Stations, Police Posts, District Police Offices, Range Police Headquarters, Zonal Police Headquarters, Police Control Rooms and other police establishments of the J&K Police including Armed, Home Guards Security, CID, Police Public Schools, Police Housing Colonies, Police Hospitals were cleaned under the supervisions of their respective heads.

Pertinent to mention here that Director General of Police Dr. S.P. Vaid at Police Headquarters, Srinagar chaired a high level meeting on 13.09.2017 and directed all the Police establishments of the J&K Police to take active part in the nationwide cleanliness programme launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. The DGP directed his subordinate officers to clean all the police establishments and also provide assistance to civilian authorities to clean the public places under the nationwide campaign which was launched on 15.09.2017.

Besides police establishments, Police Public Schools of Jammu, Srinagar and other districts, Police Housing Colonies of Jammu and Srinagar as well as of other districts, Police Hospitals, Police Departmental Stores were cleaned.

In South Kashmir, DIG, South Kashmir Range led its staff cleaned all the Police establishment as well as Police Stations, Police Posts, other Police housing areas of the South Kashmir Range.

In Central Kashmir Range the drive started under the Supervision of DIG, Central Kashmir Range led its staff cleaned all the Police establishment, Police Stations, Police Posts, other Police Housing Colonies at Bemina falling under Central Kashmir Range.

In North Kashmir Range, the drive started  by IGP North Kashmir Range, Baramulla led its officers and official of the Range and started the cleaning at all police establishments including Police Stations, Police Posts, Housing Colonies, and also helped the civil authorities in this nationwide campaign.

In Police Control Room, Kashmir (PCR) and in Police Control Room, Jammu the campaign was started by both SSsP respectively.

In Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, the campaign was launched by DIG JSK Range at RPHQ Jammu led by its officers/officials of the Jammu Range started the cleaning at all police establishments including Police Stations, Police Posts, Housing Colonies at Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat, Police Hospital, Jammu and also helped the civil authorities in this nationwide campaign.

In Udhampur-Reasi Range, the campaign was launched by DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range at RPHQ Udhampur led by its officers/officials of the Range, cleaned all the police establishments including Police Stations, Police Posts, police residential areas and also helped the civil authorities in this nationwide campaign.

In Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, the campaign was also launched by DIG DKR Range at RPHQ Batote led by its officers/officials of the Range, cleaned all the police establishments including Police Stations, Police Posts, police residential areas.

In Rajouri-Poonch Range the campaign was started by DIG RP Range led by its officers/officials took active part in the nationwide campaign, cleaned all the police establishments including Police Stations, Police Posts, police residential areas.

The drive continued on all the days in all Armed / IR Headquarters, Battalions, Coys., Armed Police Complex, Zewan Srinagar, Channi Himmat, Jammu, all Police Training Schools at Jammu and Srinagar, SKPA Udhampur, Security Headquarter, CID Headquarter, Railways Headquarter, Traffic Headquarter, Telecommunication wing of J&K Police and Home Guard/Civil Defence Headquarter and their subordinate offices.

It is worthwhile to mention here that parts of the world famous Dal Lake, Bahu-Fort, Railway Stations, Bus Stands have been cleaned during this nationwide campaign by the Police Department for which the necessary directions was also passed by the DGP during the high level meeting.
