Grenade blast leave two cops injured

Two cops were injured when suspected militants attacked a security picket in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday evening.

According to the reports, a  joint Police/Army Naka was established at Juhama, Baramulla for routine area domination.

“At about 1850 hours a motorcycle approached from opposite side and while seeing the Naka Party made an about turn. While being challenged to stop one among the two militants riding the motor cycle hurled a grenade towards the naka party,” a police spokesman said.

“Two policemen received minor injuries,” during the blast.

Police also said that the area has been cordoned to nab the culprits.
