02 drug peddlers arrested by Budgam police
Budgam police Tuesday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 12 kilograms of poppy straw from their possession.
During routine naka checking at Gagerpora Narbal, a police party of Police Station Magam intercepted a Truck bearing registration number JK03B-8612 driven by Shabir Ahmad Shah and assisted by conductor Irshad Ahmad Shah resident of Takya Ganirpora Kunzer. On checking the vehicle, 02 bags of poppy straw weighing about 12 kilograms were recovered. Both the driver as well as conductor were apprehended, and the vehicle was seized.
Budgam police registered a case and investigation was taken up.
