Two held for carrying banned medicinal plant
Police has arrested two persons and recovered banned medicinal plants (Patri) from their possession.
Acting on a tip off, a police party of Police Station Safapora headed by SHO Safapora SI Mudasir Zaroo laid a naka near Kondabal link road. During naka checking two persons namely Bashir Ahmad lone son of Maqbool lone resident of Chittergul Kangan and Rafiq Magray son of Ghulam Ahmad Magray resident of Badampora, who were carrying gunny bags were intercepted.
On checking, banned medicinal plant extract (patri) was recovered. Both the persons were arrested and bags were seized.
A case FIR number 36/2017 under section 379 RPC, 06 Forest Act stands registered in Police Station Safapora and investigation was taken up, the spokesman added.
