Ehsaas International pays tribute to martyrs of Karbala

Distributes fruits among patients at SKIMS

Srinagar: On Eve of Muharram, social group “Ehsaas International’  distributed fresh fruits among the patients admitted in the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).

“Fresh fruits that were hygienically packed in food grade boxes, were distributed among patients who are admitted in SKIMS Soura for treatment. Packets were distributed among the in patients of hospital and also in the gynaecology clinic of hospital,” a statement issued by the organisation said.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. A G Ahanger, Director SKIMS & Ex Officio Secretary in presence of Prof. Altaf  Kirmani, Dean Faculty Prof O J Shah, Head Surgical Gastroenterology and Shabir Hussain Mir, Head Non Gazetted Employees Welfare Association. Also Chairman of Trust, Syed Tabasum Geelani and General Secretary, Hakim Mohammad Ilyas were present along with Amjad Rizvi PRO of Trust and other volunteers.

“Volunteers distributed fruit packets among all the patients admitted in the institution along with the hospital catering services. Patients and their attendants who received fruit packets were thankful to Ehsaas and appreciated the initiative. Prof Ahanger appreciated the initiative and encouraged the volunteers for the activity,” the statement added.

“We at Ehsaas strongly believe in work aimed at creating unity and brotherhood among Muslim ummah. One such message was practically send across today on 9th of Muharram, 30th of September 2017 through this initiative of distribution of fresh fruits,” the statement added.
