APSCC pays tribute to Pinky on her Antim Ardas

On the Antim Ardas of the Sikh girl, Rattanjeet Kour, (Pinky) daughter of Rachpal Singh, All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) chairman, Jag Mohan Singh Raina on Thursday paid tributes to her, saying that the girl was a brilliant student pursuing MBA from Islamic University, Awantipora.

Pinky, daughter of Rachpal Singh, resident of Chatrugam Tral, was killed in a grenade attack in Tral ara of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sep 21.

He said that thousands of blossoming flowers like Rattanjeet have fallen prey due the uncertain political situation of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Both India and Pakistan should take meaningful steps so that there is an end to bloodshed and gore in the state especially Kashmir valley,” he said.

He paid tributes to Rattanjeet and other innocents who have been killed in Kashmir over the past 27 years.

APSCC said peace can be achieved in Kashmir valley only when both the central and state governments show seriousness in this regard.

The Committee said that everyone killed in the Valley doesn’t belong to any single religion, but every killed person is a Kashmiri.

“Kashmiriyat is alive and kicking in Kashmir and same gets proved every now and then,” he said.

In a statement issued here, Raina said that around 300 Sikhs are among the one lakh casualties that have taken place in the Kashmir valley over the past 27 years.

Raina said that serious efforts need to be taken so that there is an end to the bloodshed.

“Valley needs peace so that we can bring an end to bloodshed,” Sikh leaders including Principal Niranjan Singh, Ajit Singh Mastana and Taara Singh(Secy, APSCC South) said.
