DFP concerned over braid chopping incidents in South Kashmir

Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Wednesday expressed serious concern over the mysterious incidents of braid chopping in South Kashmir areas particularly in Kulgam and termed it ‘unacceptable’.

DFP spokesman according to the statement issued here termed the failure of police and administration in nabbing the culprits as ‘deliberate conspiracy’.

The spokesman said to arrest innocent children, police searches them in nook and corner in no time but has failed to arrest the culprits involved in braid cutting. “Such acts are unacceptable,” DFP said.

Meanwhile, DFP paid tributes to slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander Abdul Qayoom Najar who was killed on Tuesday and termed him as ‘a great warrior and a renowned policymaker’ of the freedom movement.

The party also extended condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family.

DFP also hailed the services of Dr Mehraj-ud-Din Munshi who passed away on Tuesday.

Expressing condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family, DFP said the deceased had rendered numerous services towards society and the freedom movement.
