DDC Pulwama takes stock of irrigation facilities in Samboora

District Development commissioner Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar on Wednesday visited Samboora Village of Tehsil Kakapora and took stock of damage caused by lack of irrigation facilities to the paddy fields of the area.

On the occasion farmers of the area apprised the DDC that because of lack of irrigation facility to their fields their paddy suffered a huge loss and appealed DDC for providing better irrigation facilities by augmenting and strengthening the irrigation network so that such type of losses can be minimized in future.

DDC assured the farmers that all requisite efforts will be taken to provide better irrigation facility to their fields so that farmers should not suffer any inconvenience regarding irrigation facility.

Pertinently, hundreds of Kanals of paddy crops have been damaged this year due to lack of proper irrigation facility in the area.

During the visit, DC Pulwama was accompanied by Additional Deputy commissioner Pulwama, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and Tehsildar Kakapora.
