Third civilian injured in Tral grenade attack succumbs in SKIMS

A youth who was injured in the recent grenade blast in Tral town of south Kashmir has succumbed at SKIMS, Soura, sources said Wednesday. The death toll in the Tral grenade attack has risen to three.

Mushtaq Ahmad Shiekh, 35, son of Ghulam Mohi ud Din Sheikh, a resident of Tral Payeen was critically injured during a grenade attack on the cavalcade of R&B Minister Naeem Akhtar.

Meanwhile, as the news about the death of Mushtaq reached Tral, the shopkeepers pulled down their shutters and public transport went off the roads.

Pertinently, two civilians Rattandeep Kour @ Pinky Kour daughter of Ichpal Singh resident of Chattrogam and Ghulam Nabi Trag son of Ghulam Ahmad Trag resident of Tral-e-Payeen were killed after a grenade attack on the cavalcade of PDP leader and R&B minister Naeem Akhtar on Thursday last week.

At least 30 persons including some forces personnel were also injured in the incident.
