Public Undertakings Sub-Committee meeting held
A Sub-Committee on Public Undertakings of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly held here today under the Chairmanship of MLA Raja Manzoor Ahmed to examine the violation of rules by the Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP) in shifting of machinery from proposed places and exceeding the allotment limit at Industrial Estates Kathua.
Legislator, Abdul Majeed Larmi also attended the meeting and gave his suggestions regarding the proper installations in various Industrial Units.
Threadbare discussion was held on the present status of excess land at IID Centre Govindsar, Kathua. As per the Industrial Policy of J&K State, Apex Committee is empowered to allot land on the basis of Project Report which can create more employment opportunities in the State.
The Committee discussed the matter with the Managing Director (SICOP) who gave a detailed reply and the committee decided in its meeting to have on spot visit to inspect Industrial Units at Gangyal and Kathua on September 27, 2017.
Among others, Managing Director (SICOP), R L Ticku, Special Secretary, Legislative Assembly, Rattan Lal Sharma besides others senior officers of concerned departments and Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
