Mirwaiz condoles Dr Mehraj-u Din’s demise

Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman and patron of Anjuman-e-Nusrat-ul-Islam, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Tuesday condoled the demise of prominent specialist Dr Mehraj-u Din.

Dr Mehraj ud Din was the son of late Qazi Jalal-ud-Din (Munshi) who was deeply associated with Anjuman Nusratul Islam.

Mirwaiz led the funeral prayers of the deceased while JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik and many other pro-freedom leaders participated in the funeral prayers.

Many people from civil society groups, lawyers, doctors and human rights activists besides a large number of people also participated in the funeral.

Mirwaiz while expressing grief over the demise of Dr Mehraj-u-Din, recalled his contribution towards the freedom struggle.

“Dr Mehraj-u-Din served many jail terms and was subjected to torture and interrogation but he remained steadfast in his commitment towards the freedom struggle,” Mirwaiz said.

Mirwaiz expressed solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family specially with his son Dr. Tariq Mehraj and also prayed for the highest standards for deceased in the heaven.
