Police destroys bung cultivation
In continuation of its drive against the contraband crops, Sopore Police on Monday destroyed bung cultivation in Ladoora village of Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
On the directions of SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh Mehta, a police party headed by Division officer of Police Post watergam accompanied by Tehsildar watergam destroyed bung cultivation in different places of Ladoora village.
The bung was destroyed under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad.
Sopore police has initiated legal action against the cultivators and has appealed parents to keep a strict vigil on the activities of their children and report the cases of drug addiction and other anti-social activities to the police for the redressal.
