Biker dies, two injured in road accidents
A youth died while two others were injured in two separate road accidents in Shopian and Anantnag.
In Shopian, an accident took place between a police vehicle and a motorcycle driven by Qasid Mushtaq son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Alyalpora Shopian at Kanipora, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and his pillion mate Habil Manzoor resident of Kanipora.
Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment where the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
Shopian police has registered a case FIR number 253/2017 and the driver of the police vehicle has been taken into custody and investigation was taken up.
In Anantnag, an I-10 vehicle bearing registration number JK03D-8016 driven by Mukhtar Ahmad Mir resident of Guri, Bijbehara hit and injured a pedestrian namely Mohammad Arif Wani resident of Seer Hamdan at Seer Hamdan near Rang Kadal in the jurisdiction of Police Station Mattan. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Anantnag police has registered a case in this regard.
