Army recovers anti-aircraft gun in Kupwara

Army on Sunday busted a militant hideout and seized a large cache of explosive material and ammunition, including one anti-aircraft gun and other heavy arms in Kupwara district of North Kashmir, army sources said.

According to the sources, the hideout was busted by 47 Rashtriya Rifles in the forest area of Chak Kigam Handwara, 95 km from Srinagar.

Sources added that the search of the hideout led to the recovery of one anti-aircraft gun, one RPG, one LMG, one Ak 47 rifle with 3 magazines, two pistols with 4 magazines, 1 IED, one RS Kenwood and one daggar.

However, no one was arrested during the operation.
