Police foil Batmaloo traders march towards CM’s residence
Police today detained members of Batmaloo traders’ coordination committee when they tried to march towards the CM’s residence on Gupkar road.
According to the reports, earlier the committee members held a protest march in Lal Chowk’s press colony against shifting of General Bus Stand Batmaloo to the outskirts of the city in Parimpora.
Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir High Court had ordered the authorities to vacate the Batmaloo bus stand and shift all the buses from Batmaloo to Parimpora. However, the traders at Batmaloo bus stand stated that they will be rendered jobless if they shift the bus stand from its actual place.
