Minor dies in Sopore School

A minor student of class 4th died under mysterious circumstances in a private school in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.

According to the reports, Ubaid Altaf son of Mohammad Altaf of Bypass Badambagh Sopore died when he was playing during lunch break in Muslim Educational Trust School Sopore (M.E.T).

According to a school official, “Ubaid had his lunch as usual with his classmates in school. Soon after lunch he went to the school playground. During that he suddenly fell down and was unconscious.”

Ubaid was later rushed to Sub District Hospital Sopore where doctor declared him brought dead. Sources said that the family of the deceased has refused to conduct the post-mortem of the boy. However, the cause of his death could not be ascertained.

Meanwhile, police officials quoting family members of the deceased said that Ubaid was suffering from some heart-related ailment and was under medication. Police has meanwhile registered a case and started investigations.
