Fire damages government building in Beerwa
A Government building housing three government offices was gutted in a mysterious fire in Beerwah division of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
Sources said that fire started in the building at around 3 am, damaging the official records of the three government offices including Social Welfare Department, Board of School Education and Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS).
They said that fire was brought under control after four hours, resulting in massive damage to the office as well as the records kept there.
“We have registered a formal case vide FIR number 114/2017 under section 336 RPC and investigation has been started to know the cause of fire,” said a police official.
