Notorious drug peddler held
Continuing its drive against the menace of drug abuse, Handwara Police Friday arrested a notorious drug peddler namely Hilal Ah Dar S/o Ab Rahman Dar, resident of Chogal Handwara and recovered banned Narcotic substance from his possession, police said.
A police spokesman said that Handwara Police acting on a specific tip off, apprehended the notorious drug peddler and recovered banned Narcotic substance from his possession.
He said that the Hilal was arrested from main town Handwara with the banned substances which was meant to be distributed among the youth.
Pertinent to mention here that accused being habitual offender was previously booked under PSA and other heinous offences, police sources confirmed.
