Burglars gang busted in Srinagar; 03 arrested

Srinagar police on Thursday claimed to have busted a burglars gang by arresting its three members and recovered stolen property from their instance.

Police Station Soura received complaints regarding burglaries in the area and accordingly cases were registered. To nab the burglars, a team headed by SHO Soura was constituted and investigation was set into motion.

“During the course of investigation, the team zeroed on one person namely Rabul Sardar son of Wahab Sardar resident of Razapur Bengal at present Ellahibagh Soura. During questioning, he revealed that he along with his associates namely Mohammad Sheikh son of Abdul Sheikh resident of Bali Ganga Bengal at present Ellahibagh and Mukhtar-ul-Rehman son of Abdul Malik Sheikh resident of New Delhi at present Ellahibagh are involved in many burglary cases” police said.

On their instance, golden ornaments, copper utensils and electronic gadgets were recovered.

By arresting this gang, case FIR numbers 63/17 under section 457, 380 RPC, 58/17 under section 457, 380 RPC, 64/17 under section 457, 380 RPC registered in Police Station Soura were solved.
