Youth National Conference on Monday expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of its halqa president from Bandipora, Hilal Ahmad. He was 28 yrs old.

While expressing sympathies with the bereaved family YNC Provincial President and former Mayor Salman Ali Sagar prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

“Hilal will be remembered for his services to the party and the party will always remain indebted to him for working tirelessly in making our local unit more dynamic and functional,” Salman said.

On the occasion a condolence meeting was convened at party headquarters in which members of the YNC provincial committee and district presidents participated. Those who attended the meeting include provincial vice presidents Ahsan Pardesi, Saleem Akhoon, north zone president Adv Jahangir Wani, provincial secretary Mudassir Shahmiri, provincial joint secretaries Danish Bhat, Nasir Ganaie, publicity secretary Ashiq Hussain and others. A congregational fateh a khwani was offered on the occasion.

A delegation of YNC party activists also visited the family of the deceased and expressed condolences with the bereaved on behalf of the party.

Later Salman took a review of party activities and asked party cadre to remain accessible to people.

“All our local units across Kashmir province have been proactive in their areas and they should continue to do so. The state of Jammu & Kashmir is going through an unprecedented situation where the identity of the state is under threat. Everyone irrespective of their ideologies and stand on issues need to come together and fight the divisive forces, who are out to devour the secular fabric of J&K, tooth and nail. I expect YNC cadre to remain at the forefront of this fight and continue to highlight issues that concern our state and its people,” he said adding, “Our party’s established stand on critical issues including safeguarding Art 35 A has been the main core of our outreach among youth and will continue to be so.”
