Fire guts shop in Kangan
A shop was damaged in a fire incident at Kangan market in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir on Monday.
A steel-cum-cement shop belonging to Nazir Ahmad Rather near tehsil office at Kangan market on Srinagar-Leh highway was completely damaged when the fire broke out inside the shop.
However the timely intervention of locals and fire tenders prevented the fire from spreading to nearby shops, an official said.
Meanwhile, the cause of fire is being ascertained, said the official.
