‘Swachhata he seva week’ kick started in Ganderbal

With a vision to promote cleanliness in all spheres of district, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla kick  started today a week long “Swachhata Hi Seva” in presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Syed Shahnawaz Bhukari, Assistant Commissioner Development and all District/ Sectoral officers including a large number of people.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singla said that the main motto of conducting the “ Swachhata Hi Seva” in the district is to create awareness amongst the masses so that the massage  can be spread to every nook and corner of the whole district, so that every person  contributes in the noble cause and helps in promoting cleanliness everywhere.

DDC also appealed to the masses to openly come forward and help concerned Government departments in promoting cleanliness everywhere.

Later Deputy Commissioner led with district officers around the Mini secretariat premises and cleaned up the area. The district officers outside the Mini secretariat similarly cleaned the premises of their respective offices. Today’s programme had the theme “my office clean office”.

Meanwhile, District Police Ganderbal initiated cleanliness drive in all the police Stations across the district. In the sanitation campaignthe inaugural function was held at District police lines Ganderbal in which SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone (KPS), ASP Shiv Deep Singh , DySP Hqrs , Dr. Rameez Raja, Dysp OPS Aashiq Hussain KPS,  DySP DAR ,Ghulam Hassan Bhukhari  and other officers participated .

SSP said that they will proceed this campaign to sanitate the surroundings including the rivers and other water bodies.

“We will try to aware the locals of district Ganderbal about the advantages and disadvantages of degradable and biodegradable substance,” he said.
