Eight matches of ‘Khelo Sehat Ke Liye’ event played on Wednesday

The matches of “Khelo Sehat Ke Liye (Play for Health)” football tournament started at four different venues of Kashmir on Wednesday.

Two matches were played at two different venues of Srinagar. In the first match P.G Department Kashmir University team defeated Amar Singh College by a solitary goal. Hanan was the scorer for the winning team. In the second match Government Medical College, Srinagar team defeated Degree College Budgam by two goals to nil. Rayees Mir scored both the goals for the winning team.

Two matches were also played at Bandipora. In the first match Government Physical College Ganderbal team defeated Degree College Sumbal by 4-1 while in the second match Degree College Ganderbal crushed Degree College Beerwah by 8-0. In Anantnag, Degree College Pulwma defeated Degree College Dooru by 4-0 while in second match Degree College Kulgam defeated Degree College Shopian 4-1.

In Baramulla Degree College Sopore defeated Degree College Kupwara two goals to nil. Kamran was the scorer for the winning team. In second match Degree College Baramulla defeated Degree College Magam in a tie breaker by 4-3 goals.

The matches in Jammu division are expected to start from next week in Jammu, Poonch, Rajour, Kathua and Udhampur.

Teams from Government Degree Colleges, Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges are participating in the state level event which is being organised by the Health and Medical Education Department in association with the J&K Sports Council on knock-out basis.
