Hurriyat (M) pays tribute to slain Kulgam militants

Hurriyat Conference (M) Monday paid tributes to two slain armed youth including Sayir Ahmed Wani and Dawood Ilahi who were killed in an encounter with forces at Khudwani, Kulgam.

Spokesman in a statement issued here said that “the oppression and occupation is pushing the youth to wall leaving them with no option other than to pick arms as a last resort to resist.”

“Kashmiri people are fighting for a just cause and their struggle has been acknowledged at the various world forums including UN and people are offering priceless sacrifices for the right to self determination and keeping in view these sacrifices, entire Kashmiri nation is duty bound to remain steadfast towards the ultimate goal till it is realized,” he said.

The spokesman also condemned the continuous detention of APHC senior leader Mukhtar Ahmed Waza in police station Kokernag, stating that Waza is already suffering from multiple ailments and prolonging his detention may pose a life threat to him.

The spokesman demanded his immediate release.
