Baramulla police solves Burglary case within 72 hours

Baramulla police today claimed to solve a theft case within 72 hours and recovered 53 Stolen Mobile Phones and property worth lakhs of rupees.

According to a press statement issued here, Police station Baramulla received a complaint from Mr Rafi Jabar Mir son of Ab Jabar Mir of Delina that during intervening night of 7-8 September  some unknown burglars have barged into his electronics shop at Delina and have stolen Large number of Mobile Phones.  Case FIR No 155 of 2017 u/s 457, 380 RPC was registered and investigation into the matter was taken up. It was due to strenuous efforts put forth by SHO Baramulla and his team that two persons namely Altaf Ahmed Bhat son of Ab Majeed Bhat and Zahoor Ahmed son of Gh Rasool Zargar both resident of KrankShivan Sopore were found to be involved in commission of offence and were later arrested.

During questioning both the accused admitted that they have stolen the mobile phones and upon their instance, 53 Mobile phone of different models were recovered. Pertinent to mention that Baramulla police with efforts from officers and men in Police Stations of Baramulla, Sheeri and Kreeri has made a number of recoveries of stolen goods during the past one week which include besides mobile phones one Maruti Car, five Motor bicycles, inverters and batteries.

The statement said that the gangs of burglars who have been active in past some weeks have been neutralised and all the cases of theft and burglary by these gangs have been solved and all the stolen property has been recovered.
