India, Pakistan trade heavy fire, shelling along LoC in Poonch

The India and Pakistan Armies on Saturday exchanged heavy fire and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, reports said.

An official said that heavy shelling is going on in Mankote, Balnoi, Gulpur and Shahpur sectors of the district.

“#Ceasefire violation by Pakistan at Salotri, Balnoi & Chakkan–da-Bagh in Poonch. No loss of life reported. Further details awaited,” police said in a tweet.

According to the reports, some shells have landed in the residential areas. However, there was no report of any casualty in the area. a
