Authorities will allow Hurriyat’s court arrest programme at NIA headquarters

Two days after  the announcement by Hurriyat leadership Syed Ali  Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik to proceed towards NIA headquarters in New Delhi against NIA to hold a protest sit-in and court arrest, the authorities said that they will  Hurriyat’s court arrest programme at NIA headquarters.

“We will allow them to proceed wherever they want to go,” Director General of Police, Dr S P Vaid told.

As per a senior police official Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will be released from house after Friday prayers.

JKLF chief  Yaseen Malik has already been released from jail earlier today.

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising  Syed Ali  Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik had on Wednesday announced that they will  go to NIA headquarters in New Delhi against NIA to hold a protest sit-in and court arrest on September  9.
