In an interesting turnaround of things, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) Wednesday dared the National Investigation Agency to arrest them.

In a joint statement issued by the JRL, JKLF chief Yaseen Malik said that he along with Mirwaiz Umar Farooq  and Syed Ali Shah Geelani will voluntarily go to NIA headquarters on September 9.

“Keep the doors of Tihar Jail open, we are coming,”  Yaseen Malik dared the  NIA.

The trio were addressing a press conference here at Srinagar’s central Mosque in Nowhatta.

Mirwaiz Umar said  that the Investigating agency is using fear as a tool of intimidation and psychological pressure against the leadership.

“Anyone associated with the leadership and those who work with the freedom struggle is being targeted. Those working are harassed by sending them notices by the NIA,” Mirwaiz said.

Mirwaiz said that the members of the business community are being harassed inside the jail.

“Anyone who raises the voice to settle the Kashmir dispute is being intimidated by sending them notices,” He said.
