Joint Resistance Leadership to hold protest in New Delhi
In turn of events here, Joint Resistance leadership led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Syed Ali Shah Geelani today said that the trio will travel to New Delhi to protest against the recent raids by the National Investigation Agency and Enforcement Directorate.
Addressing a press conference here at Srinagar’s central Mosque in Nowhatta, Mirwaiz said that the Investigating agency is using fear as a tool of intimidation and psychological pressure against the leadership.
“Anyone associated with the leadership and those who work with the freedom struggle is being targeted. Those working are harassed by sending them notices by the NIA,” Mirwaiz said.
Mirwaiz said that the members of the business community are being harassed inside the jail.
“Anyone who raises the voice to settle the Kashmir dispute is being intimidated by sending them notices,” He said.
