Students protest in Pulwama against killing of Rohingya Muslims

Students of Government Degree College Pulwama on Tuesday held demonstrations against the killing of Rohingya Muslims in Burma.

According to eyewitnesses, the Students protested in college campus while raising slogans demanding the end to human rights violations in Burma against the Rohingya Community.

Eyewitnesses added that later minor clashes erupted between government forces and students near police station Pulwama.

Sources said that youth pelted stones towards forces who retaliated with tear smoke shells triggering clashes.

Clashes lasted for only for few minutes and situation soon became normal in the town, sources added.

Nearly,  1 million people have fled from Burma after the Rohingya community has been violently targetted in Burma.

Meanwhile Scores of Locals also held strong demonstration in Kulgam against the massacre of Rohingya Muslims in Burma.
