Bear mauls Forest Guard in North Kashmir

A Forest Guard was critically wounded after he was attacked by a wild bear in a North Kashmir’s Forest on Tuesday afternoon.

Forest officials said that two Forest Guards Ghulam Muhammad Wani and Muhammad Akbar Wani were inspecting the Compartment number 45 of Mawar Handwara forest when a bear attacked Ghulam Muhammad and injured him critically.

Another Forest Guard Muhammad Akbar managed to flee from spot. The wounded forest employee has been admitted at District Hospital Handwara.
