Asking people to support and second resolution on Eid prayers, JRL said, “Let all of us pledge to pursue our cherished goal with dedication and sincerity.”

While praying for the wellbeing and prosperity for whole Muslim Ummah, JRL asked people to stage protests against proposed tinkering and repealing of state subject laws, article 370, implementation of GST, uniform civil code and character assassination campaign launched by NIA against the leadership.

“Intended tampering with the state subject law is a ploy to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir and in this way, the issue is directly linked to our right of self-determination,” JRL said.

They asked affluent families of the state to take care of the needy, orphans, widows and families of martyrs.

JRL said that NIA detained Huriyat leadership including Shabir Ahmad Shah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saif ullah, Raja Meraj u Din Kalwal, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Shahid ul Islam, Farooq Ahmad Dar and Faheem Ahmad in fabricated cases and even basic facilities are not being provided to them.

They said that senior JKLF leader Noor Mohammad Kalwal was also summoned by NIA and implicated in fictitious cases, while as Dr Nayeem Geelani and Dr Naseem Geelani were released and asked to attend its Delhi office on next date after Eid.

They said that NIA is being used as ‘a tool to harass pro-freedom leadership’ and ‘destroy state’s economy’ and as such businessman like Zahoor Ahmad Watali too was arrested and being interrogated in New Delhi.

JRL on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha greeted prisoners and prayed for their well-being and prosperity.

They said that nation salutes them for their steadfastness, persistence and their commitment.

Slamming authorities for their haughty approach towards prisoners and particularly towards Dukhtaran-e-Milat chairperson Aasiya Andrabi and said that “despite court orders, the ailing leader is not being released. It is sheer lawlessness that DeM chief despite court orders was rearrested ignoring all ethics and morals.”
