A high alert has been sounded in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir after intelligence inputs that Jaish militants may carry out attacks on security installations in coming seven days.

The warning comes two days after Jaish militants carried a deadly attack in the District Police Lines of Pulwama in which eight security personnel were killed and three Jaish militants were also gunned down.

According to the reports, the Jaish militants had written a graffiti in DPL Pulwama stating that the attack was the revenge for the Afzal Guru hanging.

According to the police sources, a group of heavily armed militants have recently entered the Line of Control and are planning to attack the security establishments in Srinagar.
