Pedestrian hit by army vehicle in Ganderbal

A woman identified as Amina Begum, resident of Khalmula Nagbal was injured after she was hit by an army gypsy outside her home .
A police official said that the woman got minor injury in her arm and is stable. Locals have demanded action action against the driver for rash driving .
Meanwhile, a shop was gutted in a fire incident in Dhobipora area of Ganderbal district late in the evening on Friday.
Eyewitnesses said that fire broke out in the shop of Shakeel Ahmad Malik son of Kaamgar Malik resident of Dhobipora Ganderbal under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal, resulting in complete damage to the Kiriyana shop.
However timely action of Police, fire tenders and locals prevented the fire from spreading to nearby shops .
“Prima facie, the cause of fire is believed to be a short circuit and police has started further investigation in this regard, ” said an official.
