Minister visits Ganpatyar, felicitates Kashmiri Pandits on Ganesh Chaturthi

Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar today visited famous Ganesha Temple at Ganpatyar in Srinagar to felicitate the Kashmiri Pandits on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Interacting with the devotees, the Minister said such festivals remind us of the glorious pluralistic ethos of Jammu and Kashmir, where the festivals of all the religions were being celebrated jointly by all the people.

He lauded by the efforts of Pandits residing in Kashmir for keeping alive all traditions and festivities with zeal. He said the government is aware of various issues faced by the local Pandits and number of steps are being taken for their progress and development.

The Minister was informed of the rich history of the festival and the temple.

The Minister prayed for peace, harmony, progress and development of Jammu and Kashmir.
