Four cops injured after militants attack DPL Pulwama

At least four government forces were injured in a pre-dawn attack carried out by militants on District Police Lines in Main town Pulwama on Saturday.

According to sources a group of militants launched an attack on district police lines (DPL) Pulwama at around 4 AM. As per initial reports three paramilitary central reserve police force (CRPF) and a police constable were injured.

Injured persons have been identified as Constable  Mohd Yaqood Jora (Belt no. 566/Pl) , Pummy Kumar of 182 Bn CRPF(Belt no. 055073177),  Proby Naryan of 182 Bn CRPF and  Roy Sudh Karan of 182 Bn CRPF (Belt no. 135031703).

The militants are believed to have made their way into the building of DPL Pulwama and intermittent firing shots were heard since the attack ensued.  

Meanwhile, additional reinforcements have been rushed to the spot and entire area has been sealed off, sources informed and added that the operation is underway.

The authorities, fearing law and order trouble, snapped Internet services across Pulwama district.
