Awareness Programme on GST held
A day long awareness programme on Goods and Services Tax (GST) was today organised at Dak Bangalow Sopore in which a huge gathering of traders, industrialists, contractors and other entrepreneurs participated. The programme was organized by Commercial Tax Department circle Sopore during which various speakers spoke on the topic.
Assistant commissioner commercial tax, Hameeda Jee, Commercial tax officer circle Sopore Parvaiz Ahmad, Commercial tax officer circle Baramulla, Majeed-ul Islam, Ccommercial tax officer north circle Srinagar and Tax inspector Baramulla were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the speakers deliberated on the new tax regime and highlighted various aspects of the GST. They stressed upon the traders and other concerned to opt for the new tax regime so as to yield the benefits. Moreover, emphasis was laid on awareness dissemination among the masses so that every misconception about the law is eliminated.
Meanwhile, question and answer session was also held at the conclusion where in the audience asked different questions on the topic and got their answers from the experts present. Also, experts delivered a power point presentation regarding GST before the audience.
