Drug peddler arrested in Srinagar
Srinagar police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1.5 kilograms of charas (cannabis) from his possession.
“Acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Maharaj Gunj raided the house of Noor Mohammad Bhat @Nur Shoda resident of Jamallata area of Maharaj Gunj. During search o the house 1.5 kilograms of charas packed in the form of sticks wrapped in maize leaves with threads was recovered from the attic of the three storied house. 36 such sticks were recovered and seized from the house. The accused Noor Mohammad was arrested on spot.” Police said.
A case FIR number 77/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Maharaj Gunj and investigation of the case is going on. More arrests and recoveries are expected.
