VC, SKUAST-K meets Governor

Prof. Nazeer Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Kashmir, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of the University at the Raj Bhavan here today.

Prof. Ahmed briefed the Governor about the status of admissions to the various under-graduate and post-graduate courses and informed that the 2nd phase counselling is almost complete and all seats have been filled and over 40 students from ICAR have been admitted to the University.

VC also informed Governor that this year the cropping season has been excellent and the maize and apple crops have yielded very good productions.

Governor complimented VC and his colleagues for securing Indian Council of Forest Research accreditation for the Faculty of Forestry and securing 10 NABARD projects.  Governor also discussed with VC the University’s recent initiatives to boost research and extension activities.
