Para commandos called to assist army as Handawara gunfight enters 2nd day
Additional reinforcement of Para commandos, 21 RR and 30 RR were called in to assist the army in conducting the operation against the holed up militants in Hanjikoot and Drood forests in Handwara, sources said.
Army yesterday claimed to have killed a militant, however the body is yet to be handed over to the police.
According to the army sources , two more militants are believed to be trapped in the dense forests.
Sources also said that helicopters are hovering over these forests.
