Zilhajj moon not sighted, Eidul Azha on September 2

The Zilhaj moon was not sighted on Tuesday, hence Eidul Azha will be celebrated across Pakistan  on September 2.

Pakistan Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman , Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced the decision following a meeting in Islamabad, saying the committee did not receive any evidence of moon sighting.

The Islamic month of Zilhaj will now commence on August 24, whereas Eidul Adha will be celebrated across Pakistan on September 2.

Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court announced on Monday that the Zilhaj moon was not sighted in the country, with Eidul Azha to be celebrated in Gulf countries on September 1.
