Army chief to arrive in Leh today
Nearly a week after soldiers of China’s People’s Liberation Army scuffled with Indian soldiers in Ladakh region, army chief General Bipin Rawat will arrive in Leh today on a three-day visit to take a stock of the situation.
“During his three-day visit, the army chief will take stock of security preparedness along the border with China as well as discuss key operational matters with top commanders,” the source said.
“General Rawat is likely to visit some forward posts and meet troops and commanders on ground,” the source added.
