Peaceful march in Chadoora to mourn killing of Mehmood Ghaznavi
Scores of people on Friday took out a peaceful protest march in native village of slain operational commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Yaseen Yatoo alias Mehmood Ghaznavi in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, reports said.
According to the reports, around three thousand people participated in the rally that was taken out from Jamia Masjid Kadeem of Nagam village in Chadoora just after the culmination of Friday congregational prayers.
The people offered prayers at the graveyard of Ghaznavi who was killed in a firefight with forces in Awneera village of Shopian on August 14.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in Chadoora town and its adjoining areas for the fifth consecutive day today.
