Gunshots heard as forces cordon off Sopore village
Forces on Friday evening launched a search operation at Wadoora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources said that a joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) of police and paramilitary CRPF following inputs about the presence of some militants launched a search operation at Wadoora Payeen near SKIAST campus.
The joint team also fired some warning shots towards the suspected area however, there was no retaliation when this report was filed.
SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh when contacted told that forces fired some shots in the area following after some suspicious movement .
