Cordon and search operation has been launched by 42RR and SOG Awantipora in Noorpora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Heavy forces have been deployed in the area.

Pertinently, Noorpora is the native village of Ansar Gozwatul Hind chief commander Zakir Rashid Bhat popularly known as Zakir Moosa.

Earlier, a week before on 11th August,  a search operation was launched in the same village, that ended after 18 hours peacefully.

More details awaited.
